We have arranged The Home of Edirisa in Kabale Town (southwestern Uganda) around an amazing cultural museum. The museum was established by Festo Karwemera, a respected elder of the Bakiga tribe. After our take-over in 2003 we introduced a hostel, a rooftop restaurant and a local art centre (a partnership with Riza Group) In January 2012 we added The Home of Edirisa Extra, a converted family house in the most peaceful and green part of Kabale Town. More about the hostel and the guest house can be found on our accommodation page. The Home of Edirisa is the starting point for canoe trekking on Lake Bunyonyi, with trips lasting from 5 hours to 5 days. The Home is open every day from 9am to 11pm. It lies opposite Hot Loaf Bakery/Little Ritz Restaurant. The Home Extra is located on Makanga Hill, just before Green Hills Hotel. Bookings on +256 75 2558 222 and home@edirisa.org.
