| Overview of The Heart | |
 The Heart was Edirisa's very first location, established in 2002 based on an invitation from Bufuka Primary School. It lies on the school land on the banks of Lake Bunyonyi (Kabale, Uganda). The Heart is a base for volunteers working in crafts and education. The latter work at Bufuka and Kyabahinga Primary Schools and the two Edirisa Nursery Schools.  Although non-volunteers are unable to stay for the night, day visitors are more than welcome. You can see how a school day looks like, enjoy the views, try out a canoe, swim in the lake and eat a local meal. Additional information on +256 75 2558 123 and heart@edirisa.org.
