Budget Accommodation on Lake Bunyonyi

Edirisa strives hard to give visitors an authentic African experience. Three cosy grass-thatched huts hide in a forest close to Bufuka Primary School, on a peninsula that combines accessibility with the special feeling of being surrounded by Lake Bunyonyi.

Two huts are small dormitories and contain two sets of bunk beds equipped with bedding and mosquito nets. A dorm bed costs USD 8 per person, or you can have the whole hut (up to 4 people) for
USD 22. The third hut is perfect for a couple or a writer/ researcher. It has a double bed, a writing table with drawers, a big drum that serves as a coffee table and two foldable chairs for your extra comfort. It is priced very attractively at USD 24.

No hut is self-contained; all rooms share a range of sitting and squatting (ecosan) toilets.

Two camping sites are available. Pitching your own tent costs USD 4 per person while the use of our fully-equipped tents is USD 6 per person.

Guests have free access to our canoes and can enjoy a combination of grid and solar electricity. Hot water for showering is fire-heated.

Edirisa on Lake Bunyonyi also serves as the base for an award-winning multimedia team, a trekking starting point and a home for Edirisa Nursery School teachers.

Finally, the most unusual feature of Edirisa is the swimming platform - basically a submerged swimming pool that allows local children safe learning ...

... and our visitors great sunbathing!

The easiest way to reach Edirisa is by special hire taxi (USh 25,000) or a boda-boda motorcycle (USh 6,000) from Kabale Town. There is cheap public transport available on market days (Monday and Friday). Alternatively you can walk to Lake Bunyonyi - it will take you about two and a half hours and provide some fantastic views.

heree! lv bags

,I love the print but I was afraid of getting it dirty since I just toss my wallet in my bag and patent leather is pretty vulnerable to permanent stains. I ended up getting the leopard insolite and I love it! I'd say go for it if you love it! lv bags.
