| Edirisa has three physical locations: The Heart at Lake Bunyonyi (Bufuka Village, Kabale District, Uganda), The Home in Kabale Town and The Gardens at Nkozi. The Heart  The Heart of Edirisa is a commune of Edirisa's local and international staff. It is mostly dedicated to our work at Edirisa Nursery School and two governmental primary schools - Bufuka and Kyabahinga. It is open to day visitors, to whom we offer a unique nursery/primary experience, a charming little restaurant and a shop with loads of discounted fair trade crafts. This is the starting point for Edirisa's canoe trekkings. The Home  The Home of Edirisa in Kabale Town has been arranged around an amazing cultural museum established by Festo Karwemera, a respected elder of the Bakiga tribe. We have added a hostel, a remarkable craft gallery and a cozy lounge restaurant (follow this link for the menu and other services). We are open every day from 9 AM to 11 PM; you can find us opposite Little Ritz Restaurant/Hot Loaf Bakery. The Gardens  The Gardens of Edirisa at Uganda Martyrs University is a campsite, a minimart and a snack bar. It lies just before the university gate, a couple of kilometres away from Kayabwe - a trading centre on the main road linking Kampala and Masaka. For more on The Gardens, click here. | |
